Privacy Policy

Minnich.Awesome features optional user accounts, global leaderboards, and cross-device sync. You can use almost everything on the site without an account — this page explains what data is stored locally in your browser, what is stored on our server database, how high scores and accounts work, what Google's ads involve, and how to reach us with questions or data deletion requests.
Accounts
Creating an account requires an email address, a password, and an optional display name. Your password is never stored directly — only a salted, one-way cryptographic hash of it, which cannot be reversed back into the original password even by us.
We send a verification email to confirm you own the address before logging in, and occasional account-related security emails (like password resets or fresh verification links). We do not send marketing newsletters and never sell or share your email address with third parties.
Logged-in state is maintained via a secure session cookie in your browser, which allows the site to keep you signed in between page loads and is cleared when you log out.
High Scores, Game Saves & Server Database Sync
High Scores & Leaderboards: When you complete games, your high scores and rankings are saved to our secure server database to power global game leaderboards, friend scoreboards, and player achievement medals.
Preferences & Tool History: Browser-specific
preferences (such as audio mute toggle, custom cursor style, and local
utility history) are stored using your browser's
localStorage.
Account Sync: When you are logged in, your game saves, favorite games/tools, and arcade achievements are synced to our cloud database. This ensures your progress and high scores seamlessly follow you across devices and browsers.
Game Ratings & Friends System
Logged-in users can rate games with a thumbs up or down. Votes are saved to our server database and associated with your account so you can see or update your ratings anytime; aggregate rating scores are publicly visible to all site visitors.
If you use the Friends system, connection requests and mutual friend relationships are stored in our server database so you and your connected friends can view each other's profile stats, favorites, and high scores. Friends can also trade cosmetic items won from crates with each other; trade offers and completed trade history are stored in our server database as part of your account.
What We Store on Our Servers
- Account & Profile Data: Email address, cryptographically hashed password, display name, verification status, and profile icon choice.
- Game Data & High Scores: High scores for global leaderboards, game ratings, and synced save data (e.g. Goose Life, Raft Wars, and solitaire records).
- Arcade Progression & Virtual Items: Earned virtual currency (coins, gems, golden keys), XP/level, unlocked achievements, and cosmetic items won from crates or trade-up crafting, along with an internal audit log of these balance changes. These virtual currencies and items have no real-world monetary value and cannot be purchased with or redeemed for real money.
- Social & Friends Data: Mutual friend connections, pending friend requests, and any item trade offers or trade history exchanged with friends.
- Site Visit Counter: An anonymous, aggregate count of all-time site visits shown on the homepage, not tied to any individual user or IP profile.
- Bug Reports & Feature Requests: Information submitted through the report and feature request forms (email, page URL, and feedback text) sent directly to the developer to resolve issues.
- Standard Server Logs: Basic server request logs (IP address, requested endpoint, HTTP status code, timestamp) recorded temporarily by our hosting infrastructure for security, performance monitoring, and debugging.
Advertising & Cookies
This site uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may set cookies or use similar technologies in your browser to serve ads based on your visits here and across the web, and to measure ad performance. We do not control this advertising data and do not collect it ourselves.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting adssettings.google.com, and learn more about how Google processes partner data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Beyond AdSense cookies and the authentication session cookie, we do not run third-party tracking or behavioral analytics scripts.

Your Rights & Data Deletion
Under GDPR and applicable privacy regulations, you have the right to access, export, modify, or permanently delete any personal information associated with your account — including your email, display name, high scores, ratings, and game stats.
