File Converter

Convert images, data, and text files between formats entirely in your browser.

📖 About File Converter
Tool Guide

The File Converter handles two very different jobs in one place: converting between image formats (PNG, JPG, WebP, BMP, ICO, GIF, TIFF, SVG, and AVIF) and converting between structured text/data formats (CSV, TSV, JSON, YAML, XML, Markdown, HTML, plain text, and Base64). Drop a file in, and it detects the type automatically and offers only the conversions that actually make sense for that file.

Because everything runs client-side in your browser rather than being uploaded to a server, it's a genuinely private way to convert files that might contain sensitive data — a JSON export, a CSV of personal records, or an image you'd rather not send anywhere. You can also paste a file directly with Ctrl+V instead of browsing for it, which makes quick one-off conversions faster than most desktop or web-upload alternatives.

How to Use File Converter

  1. Drop a file, click to browse, or paste with Ctrl+V — images (PNG, JPG, WebP, and more) or data/text files (CSV, JSON, YAML, XML, Markdown, and more) are both supported.
  2. Review the file info card and, for images, the live preview.
  3. In the 'Convert to' grid, click the target format card — only conversions valid for that file type are shown.
  4. Click Convert File and wait for the status spinner to finish.
  5. Check the result section's preview (image or text) and click Download Converted File to save it.
  6. Use Convert to Another Format to try a different output, or Upload Another File to start over.
