About List Comparator
Tool Guide
List Comparator takes two pasted lists and breaks the comparison into three clear buckets: items only in list A, items only in list B, and items present in both. That's the exact question people usually have when comparing two exports — a before-and-after inventory, two versions of a mailing list, or two sets of usernames — without manually cross-referencing every line by hand.
Because both lists are just pasted text, there's no file format to worry about or spreadsheet software required — copy from wherever the data lives, paste it into each box, and read the three-way breakdown immediately.
How to Use List Comparator
- Paste the first list into List A and the second into List B, one item per line each.
- Toggle Case sensitive on if entries like "Apple" and "apple" should be treated as different values.
- Click Compare Lists.
- Read the Results box: it starts with an item count for each list, then three alphabetized sections — Only in A, Only in B, and In Both.
- Click Copy results to copy the full report to your clipboard.
Features
- ▸ Three-way comparison: only in A, only in B, and in both
