This tool combines two related but distinct timing needs: a stopwatch for counting up from zero with lap-splitting support, so you can mark and review intermediate times without stopping the clock, and a countdown timer with a visual progress bar for counting down to zero from a set duration, useful for anything from a cooking timer to timeboxing a work session.
Both run entirely in the browser tab, so starting a timer and switching to another task is as simple as leaving the tab open — no app to install and no account needed for something as simple as timing an interval.
How to Use Timer & Stopwatch
- Choose the Stopwatch or Timer tab at the top.
- Stopwatch: click Start to count up; click Lap while it's running to record a split at the top of the Laps list below.
- Click Stop to pause the stopwatch, then Reset to zero it out and clear all laps.
- Timer: enter Hours, Minutes, and Seconds in the three number fields, then click Start to begin the countdown — the progress bar drains and the display pulses when it hits zero.
- Click Pause to hold the countdown and Start again to resume, or Reset to clear it back to 00:00:00.
