About Color Picker
Tool Guide
This Color Picker is built for the specific moment a designer or developer needs to pin down one exact color and get it into hex, RGB, and HSL formats all at once — pick a color, and all three representations update together, with a one-click copy button next to each so you can grab whichever format the project you're working in actually needs.
A recent-colors history keeps track of colors you've picked in the session, which is useful when you're comparing a few candidate shades or need to go back to a color you picked a minute ago without re-selecting it from scratch.
How to Use Color Picker
- Click Pick from screen to sample any pixel on your screen with the eyedropper (disabled if your browser doesn't support it).
- Or click the small swatch button next to it to open your system's native color picker.
- Or type a hex code into the Hex field and press Enter, or click away, to apply it.
- Read the live Hex, RGB, and HSL values in the three rows below the preview.
- Click Copy next to any row to copy that format to your clipboard.
- Click a swatch in the Recent colors row to reload a color you picked earlier in the session.
